Garden
The Le Duc, prize-winning garden is one of the best on the island with more than 100 varieties of orchids, a variety of hibiscus and tropical palm trees. Guests can feed the fish homed in one of two fishponds complete with waterfalls. Part of the garden is home to six giant land tortoises starring Josephine, who is 105-years-old.

Transfer to Hotel
Praslin can be reached via the main island of Mahe by a 15 minute domestic flight, 45 minute ferry crossing or helicopter.

The world famous UNESCO heritage site, Vallée de Mai, home of the coco de mer and the unique black parrot, is just 4kms from Le Duc de Praslin.

The hotel can arrange boat various trips to the nearby islands such as the bird nature reserve island of Cousin and Aride, the snorkelling island of St Pierre and giant tortoise island of Curieuse. Excursions leave directly from the beach and include guided tours and sumptuous barbeques.

Fishing
Guests can book a half-day fishing and bring home their catch for the Le Duc chef to prepare.

Nearby facilities include two good diving centres, taxi boats, casinos and shops.
